This enormous circular earthwork, with its impressive six hundred foot diameter, is enclosed by a bank of gravel and stone. A megalithic chamber with a single capstone marks its center. Scientists and scholars date the chamber to between 3000 and 2000 BC and speculate that the earthwork may have been some type of gathering space. During the 18th century it was used a horse track.
